If you are a member in good standing in the VFW, VFW Ladies Auxiliary or VFW Men's Auxiliary who has been displaced because your home was damaged or destroyed, you may be eligible for Disaster Relief from the VFW Department of Iowa. 

Check here to download the application.  Once the application  is filled out sent it to State Headquarters at 3601 Beaver Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50310 or fax it at 515-255-7923 ASAP. 

If your a member in good standing in the Ladies Auxiliary, you too can receive funds for Disaster Relief by downloading the application by clicking here.  The Ladies Auxiliary request the Auxiliary Treasurer verify membership, plus give a brief statement as to damage, etc.  Please mail your application to Alice Lynch ASAP. 

We have had many, many VFW members displaced out of their homes due to the tornados and recent floods.  If every member would donated just $10.00, out of 25 thousand plus members we would have an excess of 250 thousand dollars in the Disaster Relief Fund.  So please send your donations to State Headquarters and make sure you earmark the check for the Disaster Relief Fund.
