Next to our Service Officers, the Post Quartermasters is our most important asset. Therefore, the Quartermaster's Corner was designed which contains forms to make their job within our organization easier. According to our bylaws, during the fiscal year Posts must send a copy of their Quarterly Trustee's Audit to State Headquarters.

The Department of Iowa membership dues notice for the 2009-2010 membership year will be sent out to the unpaid members in June 2009, August 2009, October 2009, December 2009 and February 28, 2010.

In Article VII it states that each officer accountable for funds or property pursuant to any provision of these by-laws shall be bonded with an indemnity company as surety ion a sum at least equal to the amount of liquid assets for which, so far as can be anticipated, he may be accountable.

The Department Headquarters carries a schedule Bond through a Kansas City Insurance Firm for the bonding of Department, District and Post Quartermasters. A post can purchase a bond that is effective from September 1, 2009 through August 31, 2010 through the Department for $10.00 per one thousand dollars of bonded coverage. Payment must be in at State Headquarters by October 1, 2010. After October 1, 2010 the bond will increase to $15.00 per one thousand dollars.
